This is the first weekend in about two months when I haven’t spent both days sewing, embroidering or crocheting.
My four seasons woodland scene is nearly complete. It has been a challenge, but a rewarding one and when I’ve finished it and decided how I shall present it, I’m gifting it to someone as a thank you for all their help in the last six weeks.
I’d forgotten how time consuming blackword infill patterns can be, but the effect is worth the effort.
A recently finished embroidery project, my current reading material and a cup of tea on a sunny day. Perfect.
Too tired to continue sewing tonight though. My Blackwork dragon, from X-Calibre designs. Just the tail tip to complete. It’s only taken five years… ______________ It’s finished! And here it is mounted.
Last week I mentioned how a day out kickstarted my creative juices and I planned to make some cushions. The embroidery I was working on for said cushions became a pair of canvases instead. Here they are on my book shelf. I really need to organise that shelving unit better.
